Visual notes unfold in real time and capture both the content and the color of your conversations.

Keep attendees riveted during your meeting or presentation, and give them a visual summary to instantly remind them of the breadth and depth of the discussion.

VISUAL NOTES

“Marker-to-Board” Visual Notes

An artist at a large white board visual note taking graphic recording a keynote at A Conference

First, our artists distill and capture the ideas in real time.

Then, the finished boards are displayed in common event spaces for attendees to reflect on and share.

Finally, we send you digital versions of the completed images for your social and email event recaps.

Digital & Virtual Visual Notes

An artist joins your event via your virtual platform or on-site.

At virtual events, they can share their screen OR show the drawing unfolding via their participant camera feed.

Finished images can be available just minutes after a talk or discussion finishes, allowing for recap and reflection.

With digital capture, you also receive a timelapse of each image being created.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer flat rates that include all travel expenses exept hotel. Day rates for on-site visual note taking begin at $3,500 for the NYC metro area. A day rate includes up to 5 hours of active content capture.

For virtual events, rates start at $1,800.

  • For in-person events, artists can either work on large boards that are displayed on easels, or they can work on an iPad and use digital displays at your venue.

If using actual foam core boards, the artist, the board and the easels have a an approximate footprint of 4’ x 5.’

  • We’ve worked in rooms with 10 people as well plenary sessions of 3,000+

We work closely with your team to make sure you get the most from your investment in visual notes.

Larger events may benefit from having an artist work digitally so the work can be projected, or having a camera feed so that producers can stream it to the screens up front.

Smaller events are often less structured and more interactive, and our experienced artists will fit flawlessly in with your facilitation team to adapt to changing agendas and meeting objectives.

  • We’re based in the NYC Metro area, but work globally and virtually.

We offer flat rates (inclusive of all travel expenses apart from hotel) and based on distance of travel.

  • Generally the artist works on large white foam core boards set on two easels at the front of the room. This is so participants can follow along, which helps to anchor their memory of what is being discussed.

If the artist is working virtually, they will need a space with access to outlets and often this is adjacent to the sound board or a/v table. If possible, their iPad can feed directly to the screens via HDMI connection.

  • For very large conferences, we may ask that someone on your team acts as a runner to help place boards and easels during transition times.

Other than that, we have all materials delivered to the venue and your artist arrives with everything they need to get to work.

  • Visual notes are likely not a fit for:

    • Completely unstructured interactions like parties, unless there is a formal way for guests to submit content to the artist.

    • Sessions that are light on content, like awards presentations. We can create visuals ahead of time if needed.

    • Highly technical data, like demos, programming code or if it’s important to capture very detailed specifications.

    • Very short presentations, generally under 20 minutes, with some exceptions.
